'Memories are a house' Exhibition/ Collection
"...When I first saw the painting I was instantly transported back in time. The painting was a reference back to the dining room where we had many a family gathering. I lived in many homes as a child but this home was one of the most significant in those formative years between childhood and adolescence. The colour palette drew on warm memories - the warmth that was created by the fire and the love of my family. The translucency of the materials allowed me the opportunity to indulge in snap shots of memory, no clarity but a visual reminder of a safe warmth that my family represented at the time."

TUTOR & ACADEMIC COORDINATOR - FOUNDATION NMIT/ TE PUKENGA
"Honor (Stephenson) has absolutely nailed delivery and expectations for our Foundation learners. Honor has quickly established mutually respectful relationships with the Foundation students. She is constantly adapting and applying her guidance and advice to maximize their autonomy and sense of achievement. Honor's obvious understanding of neuro-diversity has meant she has successfully engaged students who have really struggled with other options. Honor has had a really positive impact on our students and has really raised the profile of the Art Mahi option."

In a Therapeutic Setting,
This artwork perfectly matches the colour scheme of our clinic.... All of the colours make it perfect for a therapeutic environment, as well as the calming effect of water. Our clients naturally look down during consultations and in counselling sessions, and this gives a calming point to focus on. Feedback from clients has been positive such as: it is "beautifully balanced," and "I feel drawn into the distance" and "calming and easy to lose yourself in." I love having this art in our clinic.

'Solace' collection
"I love the feeling of calm in this painting and the light on the water which reflects the dark clouds above. Although the collection is about grief, this painting has a feeling of acceptance. Honor has an incredible gift where she imbues her artworks with emotions that you sense when viewing them."
